Reader's Digest's Main Man on September

Guess what? A Filipino takes the front cover of Reader’s Digest September issue. Regarding the magazines’ 5th Annual Humor Special, Michael V. or Beethoven Del Valle Bunagan in real life was the main man. The actor-comedian was surprised when he receives the official letter from Reader’s Digest saying that he will be featured on the next issue. It was such an honor for him to be 2nd Filipino being on the cover of a prominent reading material in the whole world. If we could still remember, our former president Corazon C. Aquino was the very first Filipino that makes it on the reader’s digest cover.

However, people may ask what makes a Filipino comedian grabs the front seat? Well, under his belt are three best comedy actor trophies from the Asian Television Awards. Aside from that are several local awards that he has won also for being best comedy actor.

Here in the Philippines, Michael V. is also known as Bitoy (taken from his real name Beethoven), a television show was named after that which features all the messed up videos courtesy of the America’s Funniest Video but as a twist, he dubbed the voices on each scene into Filipino language to have a different attack on the Filipino audiences. He also has a top rated gag show and several television commercials.

Michael V. is really a versatile actor. He can simply put life in every character that he is into. And beyond his passion on his craft on acting, he is not just a mere entertainer, he can also composed songs can sing and dance at the same time. He was truly someone a Filipino can be proud of.
