Rainy Days Aren’t Over Yet

On my way back to Manila, a heavy rain suddenly pours. What a very pleasant way of welcoming me back into urbanity. The fog on each window inside the bus grew gloomier and the coldness of the air from the air con starts to chill the passengers. So, it was such perfect opportunity for me to have a nice nap. After all, I woke up around three o’ clock in the morning to catch up things again. Anyway, it’s back to work, another day of new challenges to face.

Maybe it is the weather that makes me fall asleep that easy. And though I haven’t heard lullabies, it’s just like I am a baby on a cradle getting on a sleep. But unfortunately I find it hard to wake up. My eyes just won’t open. And I still feel very, very sleepy. And because I have no choice, I have to carry myself through the door of the bus and leave.

Before I came to my preferred destination, the rain continuously poured out heavily. Luckily, I always have my umbrella with me. I just hope that I can find a jeepney on time so that I won’t get that wet with the rain. I also hope that there is no flood yet along the way.

So, it’s back to work. After a long holiday, I find it a bit strange to be back at work again. I only have three days of work for this week and by Friday afternoon, I‘ll be going back again to Laguna. I’m just spending most of my salary to transportation fare, but it doesn’t matter to me, as long as I can spend some time with my family. The moments that we are together were priceless…
