The Man From Manila is Suffering from Leukemia

Last week, the Philippine Showbiz industry has gone a bit depress after confirming the news behind the real story of Francis Magalona’s health status. The master rapper has admitted to the public that he is suffering from leukemia. Actually, the main man never wanted to make the issue grew even more, he just admit it this time to ask for a donation of blood to replace the supply that he has consumed while having his medication at the Medical City Hospital in Mandaluyong.

His career started to soar high in 1990, when he released the album Yo! The launched of that album was such a big success and it even helped Filipino hip hop to merge in the mainstream. The master rapper has released several albums after which also had great results in the end. Magalona’s song was loved by the entire Filipino nation. Although it is a rap, hip hop genre, the contents of his songs really captivates the attention of its listeners for it tells a story behind it.

FrancisM had been contributing a lot in the music industry here in the Philippines. He continued his passion by collaborating with some artist and experimenting with the Pinoy rock music. This man had also brought its nation pride across the globe. He became the first Filipino VJ in MTV Asia. His contributions had been also featured in various international hip hop publications including All Music Guide to Hip Hop: The Definitive Guide to Rap and Hip Hop in 2003 that was published by Backbeat Books, followed in the year 2004, by a U.S. based publication The Source. Recently, he grabbed legend award music, given by the 1st Filipino-American Visionary Awards that was held in Kodak Theater, Hollywood. It is no doubt that FrancisM is such a great artist and his current situation is such a depressing incident for the industry.

Aside from his passion in music, Magalona is also an actor and a remarkable host. He also engage himself in a lot of things, he has been busy producing albums for new artists, directing music videos for bands, even created his own clothing line and has an eye on photography. He is really the MAN!
